Say "hello" to Maria Karukas, the office manager here at United House Wrecking.
Nearly 15 years ago, Maria, having just completed a cross country trip in need of a job, opened the paper the next day, and found an opportunity for a three day a week opening at UHW.
The rest, as they say, is history. Her early years were a
treasured experience knowing and working with founder Ross Lodato, Sr.
The breadth of in house assignments has ranged from banking, accounting, human resources, selling, web site development and advertising. She is also currently involved assisting in all the store's special events.

She loves working here because, to quote her "It's an ever changing environment, a change of scenery. Each day I walk out of that office to something new and interesting."
Because she grew up the only girl in a family
of three boys, she feels she has two sets of brothers, one in her own family and "the boys" as she calls them, at work-Mario, Ross, and Andy. With Mario's son Philip coming on board as communications director and sitting at the next desk, she has recently added a fourth "brother" to her work family.
Although she is "perpetually and happily single", she enjoys the two wonderful children in her life-nieces Zoe and Charlise. She is the proud, doting aunt, and spoiler of these two special kids!!
