Associate Noel Pollock has worked at UHW for nearly nine years. A typical day might find him stringing or hanging one of the many antique or reproduction chandeliers, repairing a piece of furniture or involved in some aspect of store maintenance.
His friendly way with customers leaves them smiling when he wraps and loads their purchases in the car. "I love the bosses here," he says. "They are fair and honest and I'll want to work here until I retire." Not anytime soon, we hope.
Noel hails from Jamaica. Prior to coming to Stamford he worked in Florida cutting sugar cane. He and his wife Marilyn have five grown children, three boys and two girls, and 9 grandchildren, among them a set of triplets. He truly relishes the role of Grandpa, so ask about those kids.
